Explore the south coast by land

Cycling in the New Forest

You’d be forgiven for simply sitting on deck and soaking up the peaceful atmosphere of the Beaulieu River, but if you’d like to go ashore, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the south coast.

  • Walking– stroll along the scenic banks of the Beaulieu River or explore the landscapes of the New Forest National Park.
  • Cycling – bikes are available to hire from the chandlery.
  • Buckler’s Hard Village & Maritime Museum – a short walk from the marina you’ll Buckler’s Hard, an 18th century village where ships were once built for Nelson’s Navy.
  • Beaulieu Village – the nearby village of Beaulieu is home to a variety of shops and places to eat. Why not take the 2 ¼ mile walk from Buckler’s Hard to Beaulieu?
  • Beaulieu Visitor Attraction – two miles away in the village of Beaulieu, you’ll find the Beaulieu visitor attraction, home of the National Motor Museum.
  • New Forest Activities – canoeing, kayaking, bushcraft, archery and more are offered by the New Forest Activities team (booking office in Beaulieu village).

Visiting yacht on the Beaulieu River

Visitors are welcome to enter the marina at any time, day or night. Walk ashore berths can be reserved in advance for overnight visitors and we recommend booking ahead, particularly during the busy summer season.
