Sailor, author and broadcaster Tom Cunliffe has created a new short film exploring the history of Buckler’s Hard.

A regular contributor to yachting magazines and a professional writer since 1986, Tom Cunliffe has been sailing all his life. He has been visiting the Beaulieu River since 1972 and kept boats here for 25 years.

Tom met Mary Montagu-Scott, director of the Maritime Museum at Buckler’s Hard, to delve deeper into our village’s unique shipbuilding past.

Settle down with a cuppa and discover the story of Buckler’s Hard in this 25 minute film.

The village of Buckler’s Hard is just a short stroll from the marina, and permanent berth and mooring holders receive free admission to the Buckler’s Hard Maritime Museum. Find out more about permanent berths and moorings.
